Product Description
White, flat, ring-shaped PTFE support rings, made of food-grade polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), feature non-stick properties, resistance to acidic and alkaline cleaning media, and high-temperature resistance for CIP/SIP in-place cleaning and sterilization. They serve as support rings for O-rings in sealing assemblies, preventing rubber seals from being squeezed into the sealing gap under pressure, ensuring the stability of the sealing structure, and meeting food-grade hygiene requirements.
Application Location
Used in Tetra Pak aseptic filling equipment, sanitary valve assemblies for dairy and beverage production lines, aseptic piping, and piston seal assemblies. Commonly found in the sealing chambers of Tetra Pak TBA series fillers and process aseptic valves, these components are mounted on the side of O-rings and installed in pairs with the O-rings; they are internal components of the seal assembly.
FUNCTIONS
1. Anti-extrusion support: Withstands medium pressure, prevents the O-ring from being forced into the assembly gap by high pressure, and avoids O-ring rupture and failure;
2. Auxiliary positioning: Secures the O-ring in place, ensures coaxiality during seal assembly, and maintains the integrity of the sealing structure;
3. Isolation and protection: Isolates the rubber seal from the medium and metal contact surfaces, reduces friction, and resists corrosion from CIP cleaning solutions.
