Product Description
The main body of the part is integrally molded from high-strength, wear-resistant engineering plastic and features metal locking screws and stainless steel flat washers; the gears have a precision straight-tooth design with high tooth profile accuracy and excellent coaxiality; it includes a built-in axial locking mechanism for easy installation and removal. The entire assembly features a modular design; during replacement, the entire unit is swapped out directly without the need to select individual shims. It is compatible with the power input interface of corresponding AROL capping head models and serves as the intermediate drive connection in the capping head’s power transmission chain.
Application Location
Installed inside the capping head of an AROL rotary capping machine, between the capping drive shaft and the capping actuator sleeve, this component forms part of the torque transmission chain within the capping unit. It is commonly used in rotary capping stations on aseptic beverage filling lines, as well as in the bottling of water, juice, and dairy products; each capping head is equipped with one set of this gear assembly.
FUNCTIONS
1. Power Transmission: Transfers rotational power from the capping machine’s main unit to the capping head, driving the capping head to rotate and tighten the bottle caps.
2. Overload Protection: Plastic materials possess shock-absorbing properties. When abnormal capping torque occurs or a bottle or cap becomes jammed, the gears absorb the impact first, preventing damage to valuable core components inside the capping head—such as the metal spindle, splines, and swing arm.
3. Torque Damping: Dampens the instantaneous impact load during capping, ensuring a stable output of tightening torque and guaranteeing consistent tightening force for every bottle cap.
4. Connection and Alignment: Acts as a coupling component to ensure proper alignment between the drive end and the capping mechanism, and provides axial fixation in conjunction with locking bolts.
