Product Description
The assembly consists of a long brass cylinder, with one end machined to form external splines for transmitting the torque of the screw cap; the cylinder body features a long, narrow guide keyway that, in conjunction with an internal key, enables axial telescoping and sliding; the inner bore of the cylinder serves as a precision-fit sliding bearing surface, engaging with the core shaft of the screw cap arm to perform a composite motion of high-speed reciprocating sliding and rotation; The outer circumference of the part features a locating step and a small hole for circumferential positioning, lubrication, and assembly stop. The entire component is precision-machined in a single operation to ensure coaxiality, proper clearance, and wear resistance.
Application Location
Installed inside the capping arm (capping head) assembly of the AROL rotary capping machine, it is positioned between the capping drive spline shaft and the capping gripper head, and functions as the capping actuator. Located at the capping station of the filling production line, it rotates with the turntable while simultaneously performing the actions of pressing down and tightening the bottle caps. It is widely used in capping production lines for PET and glass bottles used in bottled water, beverages, condiments, and other products.
FUNCTIONS
1. Torque Transmission: The external splines at the end receive rotational power from the drive gear, driving the capping head to rotate and tighten the bottle cap.
2. Sliding Guidance: The long keyway structure on the cylinder body allows the capping arm’s mandrel to extend and retract axially, enabling the capping head to press down to engage the bottle neck and lift back into position after capping.
3. Sliding Bearing Support: The inner bore of the bronze sleeve acts as a sliding bearing, supporting the high-speed composite motion of the core shaft and reducing friction.
4. Positioning and Limiting: The step and positioning hole enable circumferential and axial assembly positioning of the parts, ensuring the coaxial accuracy of the capping process and preventing crooked capping.
