Where to Use
This type of positioning pin is widely used as a mechanical assembly reference point in Krones equipment. Common locations include:
Conveyor/Star Wheel/Guide Rail Brackets: On upstream and downstream conveyor lines of filling machines, labeling machines, packaging machines, and blow molding machines, these are used for the precise positioning of side guide rails, baffles, star wheel mounts, sprocket/cam mounts, and similar components.
Rotary/Swing Mechanism Hinge Mounts: In components such as bottle infeed/outfeed cam wheels, lifting/swing arms, and locking mechanisms, the shaft fits into the mount to form a reliable pivot point or positioning reference.
Frame plates, bases, and module mounting plates: Used to ensure that module positions remain unchanged during repeated disassembly and reassembly (reset accuracy after changeovers or maintenance).

Functions
1. Precise Positioning/Misalignment Prevention: By utilizing a precise cylindrical surface that mates with a bore, it restricts the relative translational and rotational movement of two or more parts, ensuring repeatable assembly accuracy.
2. Shear Resistance/Displacement Prevention: Withstands shear forces caused by operational vibrations, start-stop impacts, and contact forces between the chain and bottle bodies, preventing micro-motion wear or misalignment of the connecting components.
3. Auxiliary Fastening: The threaded end or head facilitates installation, locking, or disassembly (can be unscrewed with a tool) and, when used with bolts or nuts, provides the dual functions of “positioning + securing.”
4. Maintenance and Reset Reference: Enables quick return to the original design position after module disassembly and reassembly, reducing debugging time.
