Appearance and Structure: A long, rectangular blade with a bright, finely polished metal surface and multiple countersunk mounting holes (three holes are visible in the figure; those at the ends and in the middle are for screw fastening). The cutting edge is located along one long side, and the entire blade is ground to ensure straightness and sharpness. The thickness and width are designed for a shearing fit; once installed, the blade typically forms a shearing pair with the counter-blade holder, counter-blade, or anvil.
Material Specifications: Generally made of tool steel, stainless steel, or high-alloy wear-resistant steel, which undergoes heat treatment (quenching + tempering or similar hardening processes) to enhance hardness and wear resistance; stainless steel or corrosion-resistant versions may also be used in Krones lines to accommodate cleaning environments. Carton/reusable packaging or packing tape cutting mechanism: Functions as one of the cross-cutting or longitudinal cutting blades.
Recycling/waste removal or scrap cutting device: Cuts waste labels, waste film, trimmings, etc.
May also serve as a fixed-length cutting blade in downstream packaging equipment (shrink wrap, palletizing, strapping) on bottle/can production lines. The specific installation location is subject to the machine’s BOM and drawings.
Functions

4. Protection of Downstream Components: Promptly cuts off waste material and splices to prevent entanglement with rollers, label stations, or conveyor components.
