Product Description
Stepped shaft bolts/screws with an externally threaded connection end and a smooth/tapered working end.
The surface is blackened (possibly through blackening, phosphating, or a similar corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant treatment; specific materials and surface treatments are subject to the official BOM).
One end is designed to be screwed into a bracket, nut seat, or adjustment hole, while the other end is used for abutment, insertion into a guide hole, or compensatory positioning.
The intermediate step can be used for limiting movement, as a bearing surface, or for assembly alignment.
Applications
1. Compensation and adjustment positions in Krones filling, capping, labeling, and conveying systems, as well as in star wheels, lifting mechanisms, and adjustment mechanisms.
2. Commonly used at mechanical connection points requiring fine-tuning of clearances, strokes, tension, support, or reset compensation.
Functions
1. Compensates for installation/wear clearances to enable axial fine adjustment.
2. Clamping/positioning/limiting: The tapered tip or smooth shaft end contacts or inserts into the corresponding hole or bearing surface to maintain the stability of the mechanism’s position.
3. Helps adjust the preload of the mechanism or its end-of-travel position, reducing vibration and loosening.
4. When used in conjunction with a nut or locking mechanism, it prevents loosening while maintaining adjustability.
Features
1. Stepped design that combines threaded connection with guiding and clamping functions.
2. Black surface treatment, typically designed for wear resistance and rust prevention; in wet areas or cleaning environments, be mindful of corrosion and cleaning residue.
3. Wear on the threads, steps, and tips can affect adjustment accuracy and mechanical stability.
4. Do not overload as you would with a standard tie rod; install according to the specified direction and torque to prevent thread seizure or uneven wear at the ends.
