Structure: A long, rectangular block with a precision-machined metal base (typically aluminum alloy or stainless steel); the working/mounting surface features screw holes and stepped clearance structures; both ends and/or the working surface are coated with a composite layer of brown, wear-resistant, low-friction, and slightly elastic material (usually an engineering plastic/PTFE composite or a specialized wear-resistant elastic layer, used for cushioning and scratch resistance).
Functional Design: The interior and/or rear surface are connected to the vacuum chamber of the labeling drum, enabling negative-pressure adhesion via the working surface or suction holes/slots. The stepped structure shown in the figure is used for precise mounting, clearance, and positioning on the labeling drum or cutting drum.

Where to Use
Primarily used on vacuum drums, label-picking drums, and transfer drums in Krones rotary labelers—whether hot-melt or cold-glue labelers:
1. Installed in grooves on the outer circumference or panel of the vacuum drum (label drum) to serve as the label-gripping contact surface or label-gripping strip.
2. It participates in the process of retrieving labels from the label magazine or cutting station, conveying them, applying adhesive, and transferring them to the surface of bottles or cans.
3. It may also be used on vacuum conveying or positioning drums surrounding the label handling area, serving as a support and reference point for label adhesion.
4. Specific compatible models and modules are subject to the Krones eCat or spare parts exploded views (commonly found in Krones labeling modules, ErgoBloc, labeling stations, and other related label handling mechanisms).
Functions
1. Vacuum Suction for Label Holding: Activates the machine’s vacuum system to securely hold label paper or film in place during high-speed rotation, preventing shifting, curling, double-feeding, or premature detachment.
2. Label Conveyance and Phase Maintenance: Works in conjunction with the label drum, cutter, and label feed/adhesive rollers to ensure labels move at the correct position and rhythm on the drum surface until they are transferred to the container.
3. Adhesive Application/Labeling Support: Provides a flat support surface for labels during hot-melt or cold-glue processes, assisting labels in smoothly passing through the adhesive application zone and adhering to the bottle surface.
4. Cushioning, Scratch Protection, and Friction Reduction: The brown composite layers on both ends and the surface provide low friction and micro-elastic cushioning, reducing label wear and scratches while compensating for minor installation and operational errors.
5. Ensuring Labeling Quality: Maintains label flatness, positional accuracy, and release timing, which affect proper alignment, wrinkle-free and bubble-free application, and adhesion strength.
