Product Description

Precision-machined metal hollow shaft sleeves/bushings featuring high rigidity, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance, suitable for the high-speed, high-frequency operation and wet-area CIP cleaning environments of beverage and food packaging production lines.

The hollow cylindrical design is primarily intended to be mounted over the outer surface of a main shaft, serving as a direct contact surface for sliding or rotational motion to protect the main shaft from rapid wear.

Extremely high tolerances for inner and outer diameters, cylindricity, and surface finish are required. These components are often combined with bottle holders, buffers, guide pins, and other elements to form a smooth shaft system.

Applications

Krones filling valve lifting mechanisms, capping head spindles, bottle washing turret drive nodes, star wheel indexing units, conveyor guide rail positioning points, or various pneumatic cylinder/cam follow-up articulation points.

Typically used as bearing replacements or auxiliary bushings, they are installed between mounting holes and moving shafts to provide low-friction sliding support and an axial positioning reference.

Specific installation levels, mating shaft diameters, and force directions must be verified against the assembly drawings and parts lists for the specific machine model.

Functions

1. Friction Reduction and Support: Provides precise sliding paths and load-bearing surfaces for reciprocating or rotating components, ensuring the concentricity and smooth operation of the mechanism.

2. Isolation and Protection: Acts as a sacrificial component to isolate metal-to-metal friction, allowing for the replacement of only the low-cost bushing in the future rather than the entire spindle or frame bore.

3. Clearance Control: Precisely controls the assembly clearance between moving parts and the fixed frame, absorbing minor vibrations.

Features

1. The steel material combines toughness with high wear resistance, making it suitable for high-frequency micro-motion, rotation, or compression applications (specific material grades and surface treatments are subject to official specifications).

2. The roundness of the inner and outer diameters, as well as the surface roughness of the inner bore, directly determine the smoothness of assembly, noise control, and overall wear life.

3. Classified as a high-frequency friction-prone wear part requiring regular inspection: Prolonged stress and friction can lead to scoring in the inner bore, loosening of the outer diameter, crushing of the end face, deformation, or rust and deposits, which in turn cause mechanical play and a decline in precision.

Maintenance/Replacement Guidelines

Carefully inspect the inner bore for deep scratches or scoring, check the outer diameter for looseness or slippage, and examine the end face for indentations, deformation, and overall rust. When replacing, strictly verify the actual part number (currently not provided; must be supplemented for precise matching), outer diameter, inner diameter, length, and chamfer dimensions. Thoroughly clean the mating bore and spindle before installation (gently push the part in to prevent damage to the inner bore). After reassembly, first manually verify that rotation and sliding are free of binding, then operate at low speed up to normal linear speed to confirm there are no abnormal noises or vibrations.
