Product Description

The part has an overall silvery-gray metallic luster and a distinct machined texture on its surface; it is presumed to be made of stainless steel or high-strength carbon steel. The shaft features a multi-step cylindrical structure with chamfers and annular grooves at both ends; a cylindrical gear/sprocket structure with a ring of external teeth is vertically mounted (or integrally formed) in the middle of the shaft.

Application Scenarios

Krones filling valve assembly drives, capping head lifting/rotation mechanisms, bottle washing turntable indexing units, star wheel drive shafts, labeling machine wheel assemblies, or speed-changing nodes in conveyor chains.

Commonly used as drive/driven shafts, cam follower shafts, or gear meshing components, they work in conjunction with bushings, bearings, and retaining rings to achieve precise positioning and power transmission.

Specific mounting levels, mating bore diameters, tooth counts, module sizes, and force directions must be verified against the assembly drawings and parts lists for the specific machine model.

Functions

Power Transmission and Load Bearing: Transmits torque or supports rotational motion through meshing gears in the central section, ensuring synchronized and smooth operation of the mechanism.

Guidance and Positioning: Stepped shaft sections provide precise linear/rotational motion paths and axial limit references for sliders, fixtures, bushings, or buffers.

Integration and Locking: Grooves and protrusions at the shaft ends serve to secure against loosening, provide sealing against water ingress, or facilitate sensor detection and triggering.

Features

The steel material combines toughness with high wear resistance, making it suitable for high-frequency rotational, reciprocating, or micro-impact applications under compression (specific material grades and surface treatments are subject to official specifications).

Outer diameter tolerances, straightness, gear tooth surface roughness, and step transition radii directly determine assembly smoothness, noise control, and wear life.

As a critical motion component: prolonged meshing and stress exposure can lead to tooth surface scuffing/pitting, journal wear, bending deformation, burrs on groove edges, or corrosion, which in turn cause mechanical vibration and reduced precision.

Maintenance/Replacement Guidelines

Carefully inspect the shaft for scratches or gouges, bending deformation, gear tooth surface wear or material loss, burrs on groove edges, and overall rust. When replacing, strictly verify the actual part number (currently not provided; must be supplemented for precise matching), total length, outer diameters at each level, step dimensions, number of teeth, and module. Before installation, clean the mating bore and bushing. Gently push the component into the bore to prevent damage. Align the meshing positions as needed and install locking devices to prevent loosening. After reassembly, first verify manually that rotation is smooth and free of binding, then operate at low speed up to normal operating speed to confirm there are no abnormal noises or vibrations.
