Product Description
Two silver-white metal ring-shaped machined parts with a matte or slightly machined surface texture. The overall shape is that of a wide-flanged ring, with a distinct stepped shoulder design along the outer contour and a circumferential groove in the middle of the outer side (commonly used for mounting retaining rings, O-rings, or as a stop groove). The inner surface is precision-machined and extremely smooth; when the part is laid flat, tiny holes or raised pins are visible on the ring surface (used for anti-rotation, oil injection, or riveting alignment).
Applications
In Sidel high-speed production lines, these metal rings are typically installed at the joints of rotating shafts, cylinder piston rods, or mold opening/closing mechanisms. Common specific locations include:
Rotary turrets on filling machines/blow molding machines: As cover caps, spacer sleeves, or main shaft bushings for internal bearing chambers.
Pneumatic and Hydraulic Actuators: Fitted over the exterior of reciprocating rods to serve as end guide rings or sealing support seats.
Conveyor Star Wheels and Roller Shafts: Used to secure the outer rings of internal bearings or to fill assembly gaps on the sides.
Functions
1. Axial Limiting and Fixation: Utilizing stepped shoulders and outer grooves, in conjunction with elastic retaining rings, to securely lock bearings, gears, or sliders onto shafts, preventing axial movement during high-speed operation.
2. Guidance and Friction-Reducing Liners: The smooth inner bore fits over shafts or guide posts, serving as a medium for sliding friction and protecting the main shaft or piston rod from direct wear.
3. Sealing and Dust Protection: When used with rubber O-rings, they can isolate cleaning fluids and dust or maintain pressure; small holes can be used to inject grease or insert set screws to prevent loosening.
Features
1. High Precision and Wear Resistance: The inner bore and end faces are typically machined on precision lathes or grinders, ensuring high concentricity and preventing runout and minimizing noise during high-speed rotation or reciprocating motion.
2. Corrosion Resistance and Easy Cleaning: The silvery-white metallic finish is suitable for the harsh CIP/SIP high-temperature acid and alkali cleaning environments found in beverage plants; it is resistant to rust and flaking and meets food-grade hygiene design requirements.
3. Compact and Integrated Design: Incorporating multiple mechanical features such as steps, grooves, and positioning micro-holes, this is a typical small spare part exemplifying Sidel’s highly customized and quick-installation equipment design.
