Product Description

A bright red polymeric elastic sealing ring. Unlike standard O-rings, which appear to have a plain cross-section, this ring features a distinct U-shaped, double-lip, or non-circular cross-section with an inner groove (similar to specialized oil seals, Y-rings, or seals with a support cage), and has a matte or semi-matte rubber finish. This design is typically used to provide superior radial and axial compression recovery, as well as bidirectional sealing performance.

Specific Applications

In Sidel high-speed production lines (such as SBO blow molding machines, EvoFILL filling machines, pneumatic valve islands, and CIP cleaning systems), these red custom-shaped sealing rings are typically used in special fluid or gas passages that have strict hygiene requirements or require visual error-proofing. Common locations include:

1. Filling Valves and Level Control: As the primary seal for filling heads, vent lines, or cylinder pistons, the color red is often used to distinguish specific temperature-resistant or corrosion-resistant grades or machine models.

2. Pneumatic and Fluid Control Ends: Installed on cylinders, rotating joints, or pilot valve spools subject to high-frequency operation, providing both dynamic and static seals.

3. Sanitary-grade quick-connect fittings: Used for end-face sealing on specific chucks, blind flanges, or isolation sleeves.

1. High-pressure and dynamic sealing: A special cross-sectional design enables better lip contact under pressure, preventing micro-leaks of water, gas, beverage residues, or cleaning agents (acids, alkalis, or CIP).

2. High-Frequency Damping and Self-Lubrication: Provides elastic compensation during reciprocating motion, absorbs minor vibrations, and reduces noise caused by hard friction between metal parts.

3. Visual Error-Proofing and Compliance: Red markings typically indicate specific food-grade silicone (VMQ), fluorocarbon rubber (FKM), or special composite materials, allowing maintenance personnel to quickly identify them and prevent mix-ups with standard black NBR seals.
