Product Description
On the left is a thin, circular, disc-shaped part with a multi-step cylindrical protrusion; on the right is a larger cup- or sleeve-shaped part with a cylindrical outer wall, a stepped countersink, and a central through-hole. These two parts are typically used as mating components, spacers, or guide/seal elements.
Applications
In Sidel high-speed production lines, these products are typically used in precision areas that come into direct contact with preforms or bottle necks, or where hard metal-to-metal friction must be avoided. Common applications include:
Blow Molding Machine Bottom Mold/Stretching Mechanism: As demolding sleeves for the bottom of preforms, guide bushings for stretching rods, or anti-wear liners.
Filling and star wheel transition zone: Used for bottle neck clamping, as anti-scratch bushings inside star wheel guard plates, or as cushioning and positioning components for conveyor guide rails.
Pneumatic/fluid control components: Used as corrosion-resistant, low-friction valve core seal seats or isolation sleeves.
Functions
1. Low-friction guidance and wear protection: Utilizing the self-lubricating properties of Teflon/polyethylene, these components guide the movement of shafts and bottle bodies during high-speed reciprocating or rotational motion, preventing debris or abnormal noise caused by direct metal-to-metal contact.
2. Precise positioning and support: Large flanges provide stable axial stops and mounting references, while center holes and bosses ensure precise mating with the main equipment’s mounting holes.
3. Hygienic Isolation and Cushioning: Isolates metal components from food packaging containers, preventing damage to PET preforms; simultaneously provides elastic cushioning and noise reduction during high-frequency vibrations.
