Slotted metal hollow sleeve. The part is short and cylindrical in shape, with a matte silver-gray metallic finish (typically a precision-turned aluminum alloy or stainless steel component). One end or the middle features a distinct annular shoulder (step), and the sleeve wall is machined with symmetrical or single-sided elongated vertical slots (windows). The inner wall is smooth, and the overall structure is that of a typical CNC-machined stepped hollow sleeve.
Application
In Sidel equipment, “Ejection” is typically closely related to the opening and closing of the mold and the release of preforms or finished bottles. This sleeve is primarily installed in the bottom mold mechanism of a blow molding machine, the guide seat of the stretching rod, or the ejection device of the preform gripper. It may also be used inside small pneumatic ejection mechanisms at the filling/capping star wheel as a sliding or guiding sleeve.
Functions
1. Ejection and Demolding: As part of the “Ejection” assembly, it slides axially under the drive of a cylinder or cam, responsible for ejecting the formed bottles from the mold or assisting in the release of preforms at heating or transfer stations.
2. Guidance and Limit Protection: The hollow structure is fitted over the outer surface of a central shaft, tie rod, or piston rod to provide guidance; the shoulders at the ends are used to limit the sliding stroke or serve as abutment surfaces for springs or retaining rings.
3. Clearance and Inspection/Weight Reduction: Long, narrow slots on the sides are typically used to clear internal pins and screws, or to serve as channels for internal air lines or lubrication, while also facilitating inspection of internal operation and reducing weight during high-speed reciprocating motion.
Features
1. High Wear Resistance and Low Friction: Surfaces are precision-turned or ground to meet strict dimensional tolerances and cylindricity requirements, ensuring smooth operation without jamming and minimal wear during high-speed, high-frequency reciprocating motion.
2. Lightweight and High Strength: The silver-gray material is typically aerospace-grade aluminum or special-grade stainless steel, balancing the beverage production line’s need for corrosion resistance (resistance to cleaning agents) with the low-inertia requirements of high-speed motion.
3. Customized Structure: The shoulder positions, slot lengths, and stepped designs of the inner and outer diameters are all non-standard features strictly matched to Sidel’s original robotic arms or mold cavities.
