Product Description
The overall structure is a compact, irregularly shaped block with a cylindrical journal/pin (with a flat end) extending from the left side and an open U-shaped fork arm (with a two-pronged structure) on the right side. The central section features a square or rectangular recessed groove, with circular through-holes and smaller radial holes distributed within and around the groove (for inserting pins, threaded fasteners, or hinges). The surface has a matte black finish; it is a blackened, high-strength alloy steel part machined via CNC, offering excellent dimensional stability.
Applications
In Sidel production lines, these “Fork” components typically serve as core connecting elements for mechanical linkages, fine adjustments, or clamping mechanisms. Common installation locations include:
1. Blow molding machines (SBO series) molds and opening/closing mechanisms: As fork linkages for bottom mold flipping, stretch rod follow-up, or clamping release.
2. Conveyor belt and star wheel guide rail adjustment: Used as lateral fine-adjustment brackets or guide forks for guardrails and bottle-clamping star wheels.
3. Pneumatic/cam actuators: Work in conjunction with piston rods or cam followers to convert linear motion into specific actuating or clamping actions.
Functions
1. Articulation and actuating transmission: The left-side journal is used to secure the component to a base or shaft, while the right-side U-shaped fork engages with a pin, roller, or another linkage rod, serving as a pivot point or actuating force transmitter.
2. Precise Limiting and Mounting: The square groove and multi-hole design in the center facilitate the integration of screws, spring pins, or sensor stops, enabling stress-free assembly and compensation for minute travel (similar to the compensation function mentioned earlier).
3. Support and Protection: When made of engineering plastics, these components also provide noise reduction, protection against hard metal-to-metal scraping, and self-lubrication during high-speed, high-frequency operations.
