Product Description
This is a small, curved rubber or plastic mounting spacer or retaining clip. It is shaped like a fan with a notch (or a C-shaped arc), features a stepped or notched design on the bottom, and has an integrally molded cylindrical or hook-shaped protrusion on the side (used for positioning, threading screws, or snapping into equipment holes). It is typically manufactured using injection molding or compression molding processes, and the material offers slight elasticity and wear resistance.

In Sidel machines, these spacers are typically installed on the side frames of the equipment, alongside curved guide rails, at the edges of turntables, or in the gaps of preform/bottle conveying mechanisms. Given their unique curved shape, they are often used to fit around components with circular motion—such as the chains of a bottle-blowing machine’s heating oven or the edges of a filling machine’s star wheel—or to serve as positioning support points for side guard plates.
Functions
1. Lateral Positioning and Securing: Serves as a mounting base on the side, utilizing its protruding tabs to precisely snap into the machine’s mounting holes, securing guide rails, cables, or sensor brackets.
2. Shock Absorption and Noise Reduction: Sidel’s high-speed production lines generate significant vibration during operation; the elasticity of these rubber/plastic blocks absorbs mechanical impacts, preventing abnormal noises caused by hard metal-on-metal friction and protecting the bottle bodies from wear.
3. Gap Adjustment and Wear Protection: Fills assembly gaps on the sides of the equipment and acts as a wear-resistant pad against sliding friction, protecting the main body structure.
