Product Description
A high-precision, compensated double-ended stud bolt. It features a slender, stepped shaft with threads of different specifications or lengths machined at each end (one end is finer and longer, while the other is shorter and features a chamfer). The middle section of the shaft has a smooth cylindrical surface and a distinct light-colored/silver annular marking or sleeve structure, and the tail end is equipped with a hex socket or a stop step. The material is typically high-strength alloy steel or stainless steel that has undergone surface treatment (blackening, zinc plating, or quenching and tempering) to ensure fatigue strength during high-frequency operation.
Applications
In Sidel equipment, these compensation studs are typically used in mechanical connections that require fine-tuning of clearances, accommodating assembly tolerances, or withstanding dynamic loads. Common installation locations include:
1. Mold and fixture systems: Such as the mold opening and closing mechanism, bottom mold, or stretch rod mounting brackets in bottle blow molding machines (SBO series).
2. Conveyor and star wheel guide rails: Fine-tuning and securing of bottle-feeding star wheels and guardrail adjustment brackets around filling machines and capping machines.
3. Vibration-sensitive areas: Side mounting bases for high-speed motors, cylinders, or sensors, used to eliminate rigid assembly stresses.
Functions
1. Tolerance Compensation and Fine Adjustment (Compensating): Its core function is “compensation.” During the assembly of large equipment, minor errors inevitably arise from machining and assembly. When used with a nut or bushing, this stud can absorb (compensate for) these manufacturing tolerances or thermal expansion and contraction gaps within a certain travel range, achieving a tension-free fastening.
2. Precise Positioning and Fastening: The double-ended threaded design allows it to simultaneously penetrate and lock two components of different thicknesses, while the smooth shaft section in the middle provides precise guidance and support.
3. Vibration Damping and Anti-Loosening: The special ring in the middle (which may be an integrated preloaded spring washer, a nylon ring, or a graduated mark) helps maintain stable torque amid high-frequency vibrations on production lines and prevents the bolt from loosening.
Features
High rigidity with adjustment allowance: Unlike standard fully threaded lead screws, its stepped shoulder design limits the maximum clamping depth while providing micro-level horizontal and clearance compensation capabilities.
